Literary Techniques 3: Stylistic Features.

$65.00

This course is the third part of a series of Literary Techniques that focuses on the style of how a piece of writing is developed. Literary stylistics is the practice of analysing the language of literature using linguistic concepts and categories, with the goal of explaining how literary meanings are created by specific language choices and patterning. Form is the more factual side of analysis in respect to pieces of writing and it introduces students to styles such as syntax, point of view, irony, mood, tone, genre, voice and diction. A student will grasp many stylistic features that authors use to create their texts and have the opportunity to practice analysing and responding to questions based on these styles.
